Our Mission and Vision

The mission of the Church of God is to communicate the full gospel of Jesus Christ in the Spirit and power of Pentecost. 

 

Our vision is that by the power of the Holy Spirit, we as a family, will ignite all generations to boldly follow Christ in truth, love, and compassion.

Our Pastor

Bishop Rusty Smart has been the lead pastor at Calvary Worship Center since 2012. He became an ordained bishop within the Church of God in 2018. Bishop Smart is well versed in executive leadership, with several nanodegrees under his belt.

In addition to being the full-time senior pastor at Calvary Worship Center, Bishop Smart is heavily involved in the world of philanthropy. He serves on the Board of Directors for three different organizations: Abiding Hope Crisis Pregnancy Center, the Church of God Gateway Retreat Center, and the Western North Carolina Youth and Disciplship board.
